Description
Over the course of two weeks, 23 students from around the world participated in the Shared Campus summer course, Art of the Gap. It was led by William Davis (Zurich University of Arts) and Leung Chi Wo (School of Creative Media, Hong Kong). The course featured insightful talks, workshops and even virtual tours of exhibition spaces, all curated to explore the theme of relics in the context of the past, present and future. Guest speakers include, Cosmin Constinas (Para Site HK), John Tain (Asia Art Archive), sva (Chaos Computer Club), Nagel Draxler Gallery, Elsa De Seynes (Harun Farocki Archive), Ming Wong and Anika Haas (UdK). Inspired by the discussions and workshops in class, the students created their own artwork in the form of a postcard to exhibit in an art space in Berlin. Additionally, they collectively made a supplementary video shown at the exhibition to highlight their presence in the physical space.
