On Nov 12, 2019, a Christmas tree was set on fire during the protest in Hong Kong. Then, all universities in Hong Kong closed, people were arrested; three month later, the pandemic took over the world.
So, I wish you a Merry Burning Christmas Tree from human being’s last celebration before the apocalypse begins.

HU Jiachun
HU JIACHUN (Lucy) is a visual artist born in Beijing. She recently graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University (BA in Visual Arts), and she will continue her study in Royal College of Art (MA, Visual Communication).
Living in a world full of violence and disruption, Jiachun considers artmaking as a way that enables us to share kindness, love and care. She hopes her works would draw audiences’ attention and appreciation to the unremarkable happenings in life, and to look for shimmering light when the night comes.
