Description

The evening is divided into two parts: Cultural geographer Julie Ren will give a 30-minute lecture entitled 'Unhinged Temporalities: Urban Futurity and Contemporary Art Biennials'. Afterwards, the panelists will discuss questions such as 'Being contemporary in globalisation: does this imply a (certain form of) history or rather a continuous movement, a synchronised understanding of the present?'.

This event is co-organised by Kunsthaus Zürich on the occasion of the exhibition “Time” and the Shared Campus Cultures-Histories-Futures theme group program “Are We Contemporary?”.
