Fashion - Hidden Story
Concept
We challenged ourselves to express in fashion the inner nature of the people we learned about through interviews and the stories that can only be seen through communication. We attempted to solve the problem of the physical distance between the members when making physical objects by having them send us the materials in data format and printing them out and collaging them.
Decolonization
Through the interviews, we realized once again that we have been making selfish assumptions about other people. Through the interviews, we were able to break those assumptions. These assumptions are unconsciously colonizing the way we look at others, and I believe that we can take the first step toward decolonization by communicating the prejudices that come from these familiar assumptions.
