Transcultural Collaboration (TC) is a unique international semester programme in the arts and design, and a cooperation between Shared Campus partner institutions in Asia and Europe.
Art and design professionals operate at the interface between different political, social, economic and cultural contexts. The international and cross-disciplinary programme in Transcultural Collaboration addresses these sensitive, and globally relevant issues and therefore responds to a key professional need in today’s world.
25 PhD, MA and BA students from six higher arts education institutions in Asia and Europe will spend six weeks cooperating in cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary teams on transcultural issues and questions on a practice-based level. The programme is divided in two parts: a 3-week stay in Zurich or an online participation, and a 3-week stay in Yogyakarta, one of the most relevant cultural hubs in Asia. The semester includes a public presentation in Yogyakarta.
Curious, (self-)critical and adventurous students are invited to apply for the 9th edition of the programme.
