Description

Transcultural Collaboration is a unique international semester programme in the arts. During four intensive months, 30 MA students from Asia and Europe work in cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary teams on transcultural issues.

The semester programme TC2020 will focus on images cultures create from each other, like negatively or positively connoted clichés, idealizations, utopia of the otherness or unreal scenarios of disconcerting customs. Theoretical and practical inputs will thematize their cultural, social and political background as well as their expressions in history or presence. Artistic experiences will concentrate on other insights, new perspectives and alternative visions, concerning to the topic.

The program takes place in Zurich (4 weeks), Taipei (9 weeks) and Hong Kong (2 weeks).

Curious, (self-) critical and adventurous students from all Shared Campus partner institutions are now invited to apply for the 6th edition of the programme from August 17th to November 27th, 2020.

Application deadline at ZHdK: 6 April 2020
Deadlines for other partner institutions will be communicated shortly.
